Jason Suckling, managing director of Providoré Gifts NZ, bought into the company in 2013. With his team, they provide top level gifts for customers who want to leave an impressive and memorable impression. Catering to both individuals and businesses, their customers range from CEOs to someone who wants a memorable gift for their friend’s birthday.
Inventory mismanagement creates vulnerability
Providoré Gifts NZ had an ERP system that was a nightmare. “We could hardly read the reports, let alone believe what was in them,” recounts Jason. Their system frequently had glitches and the company wouldn’t know when it would happen. This meant that their data was unreliable. Moreover, the system was difficult to use due to the high level of training that was required. All these meant their ERP system made them vulnerable to their competitors.
When a change of staff in a key role came about, Jason seized the opportunity to implement a new inventory management solution for his business.
Providoré Gifts relies on accurate data for reporting
Providoré Gifts NZ found that Unleashed solved their inventory management woes. “It’s a very wide system, so we do our sales orders, purchase orders, and bill of materials when we’re manufacturing. It’s a very comprehensive system,” says Jason.
”They’ve got a very full on comprehensive backup and commitment to the software.”
With a range of resources available to them, Jason and his staff spend less time learning how to use the system and more time focusing on sales. “Since we implemented Unleashed, we’ve been able to do the same number of activities with 25% less staff”, says Jason.
Since implementing Unleashed, Jason has found he is able to focus on creative elements of the business as he doesn’t have to worry about training staff, reducing a considerable amount stress on him!
With Unleashed, Jason and his staff are able to fully rely on the inventory accuracy and reporting. With a comprehensive and easy to use system, staff at Providoré Gifts NZ are able to get on with running their business rather than investing months on learning how to use the software.
