Our founder, Greg Murphy, was recently featured on Telecom’s Tech in a sec segment. The interview covered what Unleashed does, how we communicate with our customers and some tips from Greg for people wanting to start a business.
Describing Unleashed in a nutshell, Greg put it as: “World-leading software that helps businesses to manage their inventory more efficiently.” Key benefits Greg covered include the perpetual, real-time offering of Unleashed. And that being cloud-based, it can be accessed from anywhere, anytime.
Being hosted by Telecom, the question of how we communicate of course came up. Greg stated that: “We care what customers think” and added that the Unleashed Community Forum is an important part of that. It’s where we collect customer feedback and helps us to gauge what customers need. Being able to tweak based on how people are using software is one of the key strengths of being cloud-based. Greg advised that others wanting to emulate Unleashed’s success should ensure they’re doing something that the world wants. He believes that it’s too easy to build something that you really rate, but you need to ensure that others will also use it and that there’s actually some demand.
Asked about the impact of technology on business, Greg reflected back on Unleashed’s beginning: “When we first started, a low percentage of businesses trusted online applications.” He added that the perception has changed drastically over the last few years, largely through the work banks have done. A lot of businesses now want to get online; the uptake of online software is only getting better so it’s an exciting space Unleashed is operating in.
