It’s been almost a month since the Sleeter Group’s Solutions ‘14 conference, but we’re excited to see the time we invested as an exhibitor at this event is starting to pay off.
Solutions ‘14 was held at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas (the busiest casino on the strip), and spread over four days at the beginning of November. Approximately four-hundred registered Accountants, Bookkeepers and IT Consultants were in attendance, and had the opportunity to be inspired by industry-leaders and hear from cloud accounting technology providers.
Our conference team consisted of Gareth Berry (our CEO), Macherie Cooper (Platform Partner Manager), and Stuart McLeod (one of our Directors), who are all passionate about the benefits cloud-based inventory management provides small to medium size businesses.
Our booth was located in the foyer, in an area commonly referred to as ‘start-up ally’ in the southern hemisphere, which turned out to be a great location for catching attendees as they moved in and out of the hall, and ensured we had plenty of opportunities to demonstrate Unleashed and discuss how inventory fits into cloud accounting ecosystems.
Faithful attendees registered early and took advantage of the pre-conference reception to have quality time with each vendor, before the crowds turned up. Even in our first three hours at Solutions ‘14, we were able to connect with some amazing and influential people in the inventory space, and discuss how Unleashed compares to the biggest incumbent inventory add-on for Intuit, Fishbowl.
We had some outstanding conversations with those in attendance, and also had a great opportunity to build relationships with the other platform partners we integrate with who were exhibiting. Both of their teams were very supportive of us and sent a lot of traffic our way, and they even showed us around town, with Gareth’s highlight being a visit to Dig This where he was able to drive a digger – every little boy’s dream!
Solutions ‘14 was definitely worth attending as a partner in the Xero and Intuit ecosystems, as we had plenty of opportunities to talk to attendees about how Unleashed integrates with their respective accounting platforms, to make managing inventory easy for small to medium size businesses. It was also great to meet Vend’s Canadian team, and network with other SaaS solution providers who we may integrate with in the future.
