Innovation and inclusion start at the top

At Unleashed we believe in innovation and inclusion, and that it begins with our leadership team.

We’re proud to announce that our very own Gareth Berry (CEO) and Lisa Miles-Heal (General Manager and CTO) are being recognized for the important work they do within the technology industry.

Gareth has been recognized for his business acumen in winning a Nurture Change award – for leading our global company to the forefront of the New Zealand Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) field with exceptional inventory management software.

“At our core, we believe in disruptive innovations, challenging the status quo and delivering exceptional customer service,” says Gareth.

This attitude is also reflected in Lisa Miles-Heal, who has been nominated for a Women of Influence award (winner to be announced in October) in the Innovation and Science category. Lisa is a firm believer that the technology and IT industry should be more inclusive of women. Her actions speak louder than words as she regularly speaks to teenage girls at secondary schools in Auckland, encouraging them to consider careers in what is typically a male-dominated field.

Having such a strong leadership team who are intent on pushing the boundaries of what a SaaS company can do is reflected in the makeup of the company; over 15 languages are spoken by Unleashed employees, who reside in four different countries and are often joined by paid interns who study at local universities, and come to Unleashed to enhance their real-world experience in a software company.

Congratulations to Gareth and Lisa, both of who are leading by example.
