We’ve recently spent some time with one of our valued clients, Diamond Candles, and asked them to talk about their business, their fragrance candle products and how Unleashed has helped.

What does your business do?
Diamond Candles is on a mission to make home fragrance fun. We combine the scents of premium natural soy candles with an exciting and fun RINGREVEAL™ experience. Our Ring Candles® have a ring worth $10 inside, plus the opportunity to discover an additional ring worth $100, $1000, or $5000. Our primary industry is the home fragrance industry.
What’s one of your favourite fragrance candle products?
Some of our current favourites are the Apple Slice Ring Candle® and our Pumpkin Lovers Gift Set. Both of these are gifts you might just need to buy two of because you’ll want to keep one for yourself! We love the Apple Slice Ring Candle® because it is a classic that really fills a whole room and brings us back to being in the kitchen with family growing up. The Pumpkin Lovers Gift Set is a seasonal favourite – who doesn’t love the smell of Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Chai or Pumpkin Frosting?
Can you give us a brief history of your business and the growth it has experienced so far?
David Cayton, one of the co-founders of the business, invented the Ring Candle® concept over 20 years ago when he was getting a gift for his wife Brenda, also a co-founder. They didn’t do anything with the concept for a long time until Valentine’s Day 2011, when we decided to test the concept out to see if anyone would buy it. Turns out everyone loved it! That first year we did over $1,000,000 in revenue, and have been growing ever since.
How is Unleashed helping your business grow?
We manufacture our candles by hand in North Carolina and needed an easy-to-use system to help us better manage our manufacturing and purchasing operations. Unleashed has allowed us to improve our processes and systems to make sure we maximize the opportunity to give people the products they love, in the seasons they love them, while at the same time decreasing inventory turn-time and investments in raw materials due to an improved planning and purchasing processes.
Is there an interesting customer story you could share with our readers?
We have had multiple people decide to use a Ring Candle® to propose to their significant other by manually putting their engagement ring inside of the candle and then covering it up to be discovered as part of the proposal!
Is there something you are particularly excited for your business right now?
We have just recently started partnering with Gifting Retail stores to begin to retail our products so people can find our Ring Candles® in the same places they also like to go to for gifts offline.
Is there something your business in particularly proud of?
We are proud that we have innovated and made something that people really love and find joy in that can bring them and their friends and family together.
